Error 10: macOS/iTunes Version Too Old
This error occurs when your iOS device has a newer version of iOS than is supported by your computer. You need to update your computer software first.
- • On Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later: Ensure your Mac is up to date
- • On Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier: Ensure you have the latest version of iTunes
- • On PC: Ensure you have the latest version of iTunes or the Apple Devices app

How to Fix Error 10
Disconnect and Reconnect
Disconnect and then reconnect your iOS device to your computer. You might need to unlock your iOS device before it is recognized.
Install Required Software Update
When you see a message that says a software update is required to connect to your iOS device, click Install to download and install the software.
Update Windows Software
For Windows, update to the latest version of iTunes or the Apple Devices app.
